City College San Francisco Chinatown / North Beach Campus
San Francisco, California
CCSF's new Chinatown/North Beach campus is housed in a 150,000 sqft, 14 story building encompassing a library, bookstore, faculty offices, and multiple floors of classrooms. The facility also includes a 35,000 sqft annex with teaching kitchen and theater.
The HVAC design consists of a high performance VAV reheat system with a 300-ton water-cooled chiller plant, as well as a condensing boiler hot water plant. Advanced control strategies contributing to the low energy design include demand-based supply air temperature and duct static pressure resets, dual maximum VAV logic with low VAV minimums, and demand controlled ventilation.
