Morgan Hill Rec Center is a one story multipurpose rec center including a full service kitchen, aerobics room, fitness room, gym, office, daycare, lounge, locker room, and 10,000 sqft natatorium. It was designed to achieve Silver level LEED Certification but was not submitted for certification and exceeds California Title 24 energy code by 23%.
The mechanical systems controlling this facility include a VAV indirect evaporative cooler with heat pipe heat recovery and auxiliary DX in the natatorium, as well as a single zone packaged VAV system in the gymnasium. Most other spaces in the rec center are served by packaged VAV with HW reheat systems.
