Reno Data Center

This project provided HVAC for a 40 MW Tier IV data center, including multiple data halls, network rooms, electrical rooms, and office spaces. This project required a phased build out with Phase I completed in 2013 and additional phases completed 2014-2018.

Data halls, network rooms, and electrical rooms are served by direct evaporative cooling (DEC) air handlers without mechanical cooling. Additionally, office spaces are served by packaged VAV reheat and DEC blowdown is stored in tanks and is used for irrigation and toilets.

Peer review of HVAC and controls design at each phase. Author and "keeper" of all HVAC control sequences for all phases. Trend reviews and functional testing in order to continually update and optimize the control sequences and inform design of subsequent phases.
