The San Mateo Public Library is a 3-story library with underground garage. Taylor Engineers' commissioning plan for this project meets LEED Prerequisite and Additional Cx credit. As a result of Taylor Engineers' work this building received LEED Gold certification.
HVAC design at San Mateo Public Library includes a resource efficient underfloor air distribution approach. The main cooling source for this project is a single water-cooled chiller. Additionally, for elevator equipment rooms, telecom rooms, and electrical rooms a split system AC unit provides cooling.
